Laurie is an ecologist and natural history trainer based in southern England. She has enjoyed a varied career in conservation encompassing ecological surveys, land management advice, conservation policy and environmental education, and has worked for the Wildlife Trusts in Sussex, Bedfordshire and Devon.
Laurie joined the team in 2013 and has led Wildlife Travel holidays to many of our destinations including Chile, Vercors, Lesvos, Morocco, Bulgaria, Svalbard and Norfolk, where she has enjoyed introducing our travellers to new wildlife, places and culture.
Closer to home, she is a guide at the Knepp Wildland Project in Sussex, and a tutor on a range of courses from small mammals to pollinator conservation. Laurie loves being outdoors and is always keen to get involved with research. So far this has included work on butterflies in Transylvania and birds in South Africa.
