Wildlife Travel was set up in 1988 to support nature conservation.
Our profits are donated to conservation:
Our donation to the Wildlife Trusts so far is around £230,000.
We have also contributed more than £39,000 to the conservation work of the World Land Trust by ‘carbon balancing’ all our flights.
Our conservation credentials aren’t just a case of ‘green wash’: nature conservation is at the core of our business. We are conservationists first, travellers second. Wildlife Travel was set up with the express aim of supporting nature conservation. Our profits are donated to the Wildlife Trusts to support their work here in the UK. We work with conservationists and conservation organisations at our destinations wherever and whenever possible, in order to support local wildlife conservation.
Our aim is to organise holidays that provide an introduction to the natural history of an area as well as an insight into its history and culture. Our directors and leaders are, or have been, involved in conservation themselves and we encourage those who travel with us to support conservation where they live as well as by travelling with us.
Starting with a couple of wild flower holidays to Crete, we have since expanded our programme to visit destinations worldwide, and to cover a range of natural history interests.
We are based near Cambridge and our office is at the home of The Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire.
